FAQ

Can I participate in your Segway tour if I am pregnant?
We DO NOT allow anyone who is pregnant or who may think they are pregnant on our Segways. While the odds are
VERY VERY high that all participants will enjoy a safe and trouble-free ride, we do have this one non-negotiable when it comes to the safety of potential tour participants.

When should I arrive for my tour?
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tour’s leave time. For example, if you are leaving on the 10am tour, please arrive at 9:30am. Tour participants need to arrive 30 minutes before your tour time to sign waivers, get fitted for a helmet, watch a short safety video, and train on the Segway.

Is there a weight requirement to ride a Segway?
Yes, there weight limitations for our Segways. You must weigh at least 100lbs. for the Segway to turn on. The maximum weight for a participant is 280lbs.

Is there an age requirement to ride a Segway?
While we don’t have an age requirement, we do require that anyone under the age of 18 has a parent/guardian 21 or older go on the tour with them.

Can I rent a Segway by-the-hour?
Unfortunately, no. We are not able to rent Segways out by the hour at this time. Our Segways are only for our guided Segway tours.

What should I wear for my tour?
We definitely recommend sunscreen and sunglasses. We do have sunscreen available for purchase in our shop.
We also suggest wearing comfortable, closed toed shoes for the most confident ride. As far as attire, we suggest something you are comfortable in, perhaps something you would feel comfortable riding a bicycle in. Please, no hats or visors.

Do you offer team building events?
We offer a variety of team building events with our Segways. We can do them at our location, or bring the Segways
to you. Please, email info@chattanoogasegwaytours.com
with your needs and we will help you plan an unforgettable team building adventure.

Is riding a Segway difficult?
We say that if you can stand up straight for an hour and climb two flights of stairs without help, you can ride
a Segway. We have had guests in their 80s ride with confidence. It usually takes 10 minutes at most to learn to ride a Segway. However if you do have health conditions or take medications that may cause dizziness, light-headedness, or otherwise inhibit your
ability to move, a Segway tour may not be the best choice for you.

What should I bring with me for my tour?
We recommend bringing water or purchasing some from our shop for your tour. Each Segway has a small bag to carry
a water bottle and a small personal item. You are also welcome to bring your own helmet.
